Richmond, VA March 18, 2009 NKOTB concert

Ok, so I talked my family into going with me to the NKOTB concert. Well, they didn't have a choice. My aunt and daughter and friend were gonna go, but they couldn't so I scooped up the tix for the hubby and kids. Well, I had to haul butt back from South Carolina, pick kids up at school, go home to shower, unpack my car, pack the van, get dinner to go, and get on the road to Richmond. Chaotic taking 3 lil ones with you, but this is MommaP here, I got this!
Well, as we get closer to Richmond, we hit a ton of toll roads. I will admit, I have never hit toll roads in al my recent traveling, so for there to be these types of roads in Richmond, I know we're in a recession. lol. Well, we missed the first one, and hubby is still worried that he's gonna get a ticket or something in the mail for not paying the $0.25 toll. I hope not! Downtown Richmond is really slummy and this is where the arena is. Ugh, horrible.
At the arena we meet up with a friend of ours who actually works with hubby and she had her 3 girls. They were just as excited as I was. We get into the arena get our seats and the show begins. My 8 year old really didn't want to see NKOTB, but he went and I appreciate that. Hubby didn't want to go either. But, both of the guys said the show was good and they were glad they got to experience that with me. Levi and Madelynn had a blast.
Me and Maddy snuck down to B stage where she held up a sign-see the pic-she got lots of winks and waves and blown kisses from all the guys. I was so happy for her! All was well until Donnie started throwing tshirts. These girls went insane, almost knocked me over, I threw Maddy into Eugene's arms, I get elbowed in the forehead, Levi get clotheslined and knocked head first into a chair. We spent the second half of the show in the EMT's office with Levi. He's fine. Just took some Ibuprofen and we went back out to enjoy the rest of the show.
Even though we had a low spot, I'm thankful the kids were able to experience something that I love. I experience so many things they love and now they have gotten to see one of my loves. It's great! I really wish my aunt could have gone with me. I wanted her to see what me and PeeWee were crazy over all those years ago. Summer tour is already calling me!
